LOST CANYON HORSE-DRAWN WAGON
TOUR
Tour a magnificent mile of cliff-walled
gorges in comfortable yet quaint horse-drawn
carriages.
Your tour will be even more thrilling
when you come to the narrow passages of Lost
Canyon where the guides must talk the horses
through the tight squeeze. In some of the deeper
parts of Lost Canyon the sheer rock and
sandstone walls have not felt the touch of the
sun in more than 50,000 years. |

UPPER DELLS SCENIC BOAT TOUR
Historically, these rock formations
were first discovered by native
Americans canoeing the Wisconsin
River. Later they assisted French
explorers guiding them through this
water passage-way. The French were
so charmed by our rock formations
and hemlock trees they passed the
word on to others. Today, you can
board the Mark Twain -- a modern
pleasure boat that tours the Upper Dells
Glacial Park of the Wisconsin River.
Just sit back, relax and listen to
the guided tour describing the
spectacular scenery -- smell the
fresh evergreens as you pass the
outstanding tree-lined beauty of
many high definition rock formations
and unique geology.

DELLS ARMY DUCKS
Departs every 15-20 minutes daily for
a one hour guided tour through the
Dells Glacial Park of the Lower
Dells exposing you up
close to one-of-a-kind rock
formations. Your pilot and guide
will take you on an expedition
through our wilderness in WWII
amphibious vehicles, using six wheel
drive while traversing through Dell
Creek. It's fun & entertaining for
the entire family and a must tour
when visiting Wisconsin Dells! |

The R&GN is a 15-inch narrow
gauge railroad living museum
offering fun for young and old.
Ride our live steam trains along
a 3 mile roadbed winding through
scenic canyons, beautiful wooded
areas,
and majestic rock cuts
beside the Dells of the
Wisconsin River.
Watch the locomotive being
turned
on a hand operated
turntable at Western Springs,
and turned again at the final
stop at the Hyde Park depot.

Combining
advancements in technology with a
love for
natural landscapes, photographer
Henry Hamilton Bennett captured
the images that made Wisconsin Dells
famous.
Bennett
opened his
first studio
in 1865. It
has been in
continuous
operation
ever since
and is
believed to
be the
oldest
operating
photography
studio in
the United
States.
Historians
consider
Bennett one
of the best
landscape
photographers
of the 19th
century,
the "Golden
Age of
Landscape
Photography."
Today the
studio
is operated
by
the Wisconsin
Historical
Society and continues to
house many
of Bennett's
original
photographs,
glass plate
negatives,
photography
inventions,
cameras, and
equipment.
The studio's special digital imaging exhibit uses the latest in
Hi-Tech 3-D stereo-imaging technology to put Bennett's stereo photographs in a powerful new perspective.
You'll use specially designed liquid crystal spectacles allowing you to view stereo photos in 3-D on high-resolution monitors in a medium familiar to today's computer savvy visitors.
